The Electrical Engineering and Computing FCenter (CEEI) of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) develops, as an EMBRAPII Unit, projects in the area of Software and Automation. They are software for mobile and embedded devices, software for storage, processing and analysis of large masses of data and development of automation, control and instrumentation solutions.
In total, 10 laboratories develop projects related to the area of competence of the CEEI as EMBRAPII Unit:

- Laboratory of Instrumentation and Control (LIEC)
- Laboratory of Man-Machine Interface (LIHM)
- Laboratory of Computational Vision (LVC)
- Laboratory of Software Practices (SPLab)
- Laboratory of Distributed Systems (LSD)
- Laboratory of Information Systems (LSI)
- Laboratory of Embedded Systems and Pervasive Computing (Embedded)
They are responsible for carrying out the following activities within this area of competence:

- Product Creation (Design Thinking)
- Analysis of product alignment to the company’s business

About CEEI UFCG
Created in June, 2005, it is formed by the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) and Department of Systems and Computation (DSC). The CEEI aims to integrate departments to work together in teaching, research and extension, mainly in innovation projects with companies in the development of embedded software and industrial automation.
