CESAR has been accredited since 2016 as the EMBRAPII Unit for Internet of Things (IoT) in Brazil. In this way, the innovation center has the resources to co-invest with industrial companies in the development of innovation projects in IoT.
CESAR has been positioning itself on IoT, as well as conducting experiments and initiatives in the area. One of them is KNoT, an open metaplatform that proposes to connect several Internet of Things platforms, thus ensuring interoperability of communication between standard platforms of the market. In addition, CESAR, in partnership with TecnoPuc, NGPD, Porto Marinho and CIFS, launched POETAS.IT – Policies and Strategies for Technologies, Applications and Services for Internet of Everything – an open document with a series of strategies for public policies to encourage the diffusion of IoT in Brazil.
Highlights of two projects already carried out in partnership with EMBRAPII:
- Salvus – Monitoring of oxygen level of cylinders: an oxygen level monitoring system that is being delivered to patients with health problems such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease – COPD, generating greater precision of medical dosage and less waste, besides a more precise control and management of oxygen storage by clinics.
- Wings – VAI, Vehicular Assistant: personal assistant that delivers safe and accurate information such as fault indications and car health aspects in real time, avoiding damages caused by lack of car maintenance, location, periodic review alerts, driving habits , electronic fence, in addition to generate data, so that the concessionaires can offer more personalized services to the owners of vehicles.
