The EMBRAPII Unity IFSP Matão is a accredited unit to operate in the field of Food Science & Technology, with a focus on research and development of analysis processes and methods, in the development of new products, and also in the management of residues, by-products, co products and energies in the food industry.
Since its creation, IFSP Matão has had a strong vocation for research, development and innovation. The closer relationship with companies and the policy of foment and support for research promoted by the IFSP Innovation Agency enabled the success of the first partnerships with the local industry.
Our research infrastructure has more than 880 m² of built area, with 10 laboratories that are in full operation and with potential destined for EMBRAPII projects and activities. The available equipments place the unit as one of the most advanced centers of analysis and validation in the country. As a reference, we mention the existence of LC-MS / MS liquid and gas chromatography, GC-MS / MS, RX and RNM Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, in addition to densimeters, dryers, among other items. Many of these equipments are inaccessible to companies due to the high investment, as well as the limited number of professionals trained for their operation. In this context, partnerships and projects are capable to benefit all the actors envolved, encouraging the development of the área, adding competitiveness and projection to the food field in Brazil.
In addition to the excellent infrastructure of equipment and laboratories, EMBRAPII IFSP Matão also has a renowned team of doctoral researchers, being a reference in its area of expertise and able to promote research, development and innovation.
