About IF Goiano
It emerged in 2014 with the creation of Arco Norte Network, a technological development project in the Brazilian region known as Arco Norte, which concentrates a large part of the Brazilian production of commodities. The project was an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MEC) in conjunction with the Brazilian Company of Agricultural Research (Embrapa) and the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA).
With the start of its activities, the former Innovation Pole of Agro fuels of IG Goiano, established in Rio Verde (GO), began to receive different demands from the productive sector and, due to them, had its operational area expanded, becoming the Bioenergy and Grains Innovation Pole.
In December 2017, the project portfolio of the Innovation Pole and of the Rio Verde Campus, along with the action plan prepared by the team, resulted in the accreditation approval of the IF Goiano with EMBRAPII to execute RD&I projects with focus in technologies for agricultural management and for processing and storage of grains.
