The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the South of Minas Gerais (IF Sul de Minas), Machado Campus, is accredited by EMBRAPII to develop projects in RD&I in the area of Coffee Agroindustry. The lines of action are in the machine industry and supplies that cover the production, industrialization and equipment for the final consumer.

About IF Sul de Minas
IF Sul de Minas is located in a region responsible for approximately 48,5% of the coffee production in Minas Gerais State. The institution has innovative potential in coffee research and has recognized tradition and technological competence in the area.

Machado Campus, with the support and integration of the other campuses of IF Sul de Minas, will centralize the coordination of projects developed in partnership with EMBRAPII. The campus has innovative potential in staff training and research in coffee, in which it has a recognized tradition and technological competence.

Innovation Pole EMBRAPII – IF SUL DE MINAS

Created at the end of 2017, the Innovation Pole EMBRAPII – IF SUL DE MINAS is a partnership between the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais (IF SUL DE MINAS) and the Brazilian Company of Research and Industrial Innovation (EMBRAPII) to foster research and the development of technologies for coffee agribusiness. Located in Machado, the pole also has the infrastructure, laboratories and qualified professionals of all campuses of IF SUL DE MINAS and operates in roasting and grinding lines of grains, machinery and supplies.
